I can not recommend a better dining experience than at Shoemakers restaurant! If I could give them 10 stars I would, but I can't. The wait staff is above and beyond. They are the most hospitable people I have dealt with in a long time. True Nebraska hospitality. Very exceptional food at prices that are on par with fast food, but WAY better quality. The atmosphere is truly a wonderful touch. I highly recommend this as your stop if travelling in Lincoln and are on Hwy 6 or I 80. They are even worth a longer drive.
I Officially Give You The Right To Call That Double Burger, The Big Tex.. I’m from Texas and that burger completely blew my mind, seriously really good big home cooked style burger , freaking loved it... I will most definitely be back. The women were so friendly as well... Love It, your now my favorite spot in The Lincoln area when I come thru, Thank Y’all
I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was excellent. The food was equally delicious. I ordered an a smoked pork chop, which was cooked to perfection and served with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. I also had peas and carrots with a side salad.

Shoemakers is a great truck stop restaurant for a cheap and quick quality meal. I stopped in for breakfast and had the Shoemakers special with the chicken fried steak. It was quite good. The breading on the steak was tasty. Everything else served with it was good as well. Can't beat the price at 11.49 for all the food I got. Service was quick and friendly. They have some really cool old gas station signage and a few old classic cars in the restaurant as well.

One of my friends introduced this place to me about 12 years ago and we would come here to eat. We usually had hot beef sandwiches and sour cream and raisin pie it was our favorite restaurant to eat at. I took my boyfriend here to eat after telling him about it. I love this place and it has a special place in my heart.
Stopped in here for the first time. When I arrived all of their employees were either deep cleaning the restaurant or serving. This place is very nice, well maintained, and very clean. I couldn’t believe how well they were cleaning. Very refreshing to see people take such pride in their job. This place must be very well managed. The food was quick and great! I will for sure be back!
